Default Wheels!!!!!

Will 16.5" wheels fit on a 2002 dodge ram new body style with 17" wheels?if so can someone let me know

1. Size doesn't matter, as long as bolt pattern and offset are kosher. Also make sure the new tires have the same outer diameter or you will need an ecm tool to recalibrate the speedo.

2. Wrong section, post in the ram section regarding technical info please.

Wrong, size DOES matter. A 16 inch wheel wont fit as it wont clear the calipers.

yeah i was also woundering about the 16.5 but they just wont fit over the calipers..kinda sucks, wanted to get a nice set of military goodyears, but that aint happenin

Thats weird. I thought 17 was the smallest too. Til I saw a truck that was running 16 inch wheels. Possible brake change to smaller brake setup?

^ doubt it, other than being able to run a different size rim/tire, it wouldn't make too much sense to do that... look at the year, there were obviously some years that they didn't have brakes that big and that is probably the year he has... i do know that the gen which included 99 was able to run 16 in rims...

16 inchers fit on my '04 but I had to grind the calipers.

Caliper grinding is needed. I know a few that have done that.
