Took the parts off and cleaned them up and sprayed them with plastic paint made by Valspar from Lowes.

I have the light grey interior. Here are the pics of what I did.

Raider would you do it again.

 

Raider how is that paint holding up on the bezel? Gonna be modifying mine and looking for a good paint to throw on.

 

I like the look but wonder about the way the paint holds up to use?

I want to do something on my door like what you have, unfortunately, our doors don't appear to be the same. It appears to me as if they made a few changes to the interior after 2003. Also, those are some pretty sweet heater covers that you got. What did you get for your cup holders? From what I can see, that looks pretty sweet.
So yours appears to have been an even simpler process for painting. Approximately what was your cost, and did you use any clear coat on it afterwards?

 

I tried that. I removed the 2 screws from under the power outlets. Where are you supposed to pull? Does it remove the whole center dash or just the upper bezel part that goes around cd player/air vents?

 

taht looks very nice i am curious about this too what is the cost for paint and supplies to paint the panel and how well does it hold up

 

I prefer the dark interior myself, I do like appreciate the two done dark on bottum (where its gonna get dirty) and tan on top of the stock apperance.

 

just pull from the little cubby areas under the radio. if you have a plastic pick you can pry aroudn the edges carefully not to mark up the dash or the bezel. it takes off the whole center dash. the radio the heater contal area everything. becarefull not to break the tabs/clips. dont pull to hard because the cig lighter/power wires and heater wires arent very long haha....
mine was done with a light sanding, primer and lincoln white paint,clear and then baked. but mine was done in an auto body shop by a freind. no rattle can here. it will never chip or peel. very durable. i love the look of it more and more everyday. soo clean looking and its different than every other ram on the road. thats my goal is to make mine stick out a little more than the others.
if i had a black truck i would have done black interior peices. my budd is talking me into doing the whole interior black. starting with the headliner cause thats super easy to rewrap. He said he would paint/dye all the interior ( pillars,door interiors,whole dash) for free but getting new carpet and seats upholstered is where the $$$ is... no way i can do it for under $600. i wish i had an upholsetry freind at the limo shop too and id be all set for free.

 

I would like to mess with mine sometime, but right now I don't have a garage or anywhere to pull everything out, and while our cold might not be cold to some of you guys, monday it's going to be windy, and I don't like to be out in the wind messing with that stuff.
But when I finally get to it, what I gather as the best way:
Pull everything off carefully, as to not break the clips. Lightly sand everything down, along with cleaning it off to get off an dirt. Then spray it down with some primer, once dry spray on my color, then spray on a last coat of clear to give it that shine.
How many coats of each would you suggest for these?
