It doesnt really matter what type you put on, any will fit, because its going to be smaller than that huge hunk of steel that was a muffler before. I went with the Flowmaster 40 first because I always had experience with that and knew what it would sound like. I have the 40s on my Fury, and a 50 series on my wifes GMC. But on my hemi i thought it sounded a bit "dirty" and wanted a cleaner sound. My brother had a Borla kit on his Z28 and it was the most bad-*** exhaust i had ever heard. So, I wrote to Borla and asked for their loudest 3inch in and out muffler they had. So I'm going with a 12 inch XR-1 Racing muffler. Should be on sometime after the new year. I'll let you know how it goes

Try a super 40 or a super 44. You'll like it. What motor is in your truck?

40 series FM here. I love it. $125 including price of muffler. Sounds great IMO. Now as far as this resonator, are we talking about the "bubble" closer to the end of the exhaust? Can see it looking through the wheel well? I still have this, and its pretty loud. I was looking to pay as little as possible, so the original tailpipe was used, although slightly tucked closer to the body. Looks a lot better, instead of the dingleberry hanging look, lol.

Drone.....you'll get it with a 40, but I personally don't mind.

ps. Is there any way of "gutting" this resonator instead of cutting it out? I doubt it, and if not, its there to stay......
