Default 2007 ram muffler

Want to get more sound. Whats the cheapest route? thinking of just a flowmaster muffler. Is their a resin core I need to remove to get the most out of it?

I'm looking at going with a Flo-Pro. Just cutting out the factory muffler and installing the new one. They're about $45+shipping for a SS muffler on Ebay. Depending on the sound you want though, ask around.

From what I heard on Flo-Pro's website, theirs are low rumbling mufflers without being obnoxiously loud. However some like it louder, so see what works for you.

At first I had a 40 series Flowmaster, which I have always used, but for some reason I didn't think it had the right sound for me (i.e. loud). So my brother was going to buy me a Borla XR-1 racing muffler for Christmas, but instead I just went down to the local muffler shop and had them chop off the Flowmaster and replace it with a straight pipe. So, I've been driving around for the last week with no muffler or resonator. Its definitely louder, I wouldnt say as loud as I expected, but again I decided I didnt like it. So, we're back to the Borla muffler. Its a bit pricey ($141 on ebay from Summit), but we'll see what we think. We've always had good luck with Borla in the past.

I have the Flowmaster 40 and I love the sound it produces.

I may be wrong, but I thought the series had more to do with design and sound, not so much vehicle. For example, there's the 40 Series - two chamber - loud; 50 Series - three chamber - not as loud; 50 Series Delta - different internal design - less resonance, etc, etc.

It's the size of the muffler that makes it specific to our vehicle.

You are right on the series....

I have a two chamber Thrush muffler from Jeg's.....mine has 3" pipe all the way back so I used the stock pipe. Sounds beefy...

i also got a flowmaster 40 ( original not delta flow or super 40) and also hadteh resonator removed. its loud. bro in law has the 50 series and its nice at wot and a little rumble at idle. no drone in cab. if you liek conservative 50 series is the way to go if you like loud 4o is ( in terms of flowmasters go)
