Default Busted cruise control after leveling??

I just installed Daystar 2.5" leveling kit on my 2008 2500HD CTD (2WD of course).

Now my cruise shuts off when I hold down the resume/accelerate button to speed up. It only seems to do it when I'm going above 65 miles per hour. Sometimes it takes 10 secs (like going from 60 to 70) or sometimes it's immediate.

I am guessing its a speed match difference between sensors in front and back...something like that.

Anyone had this issue and if so is there a way to fix it without the stealership?

check to see if the front sensor ( i belive its on the driver side) is still in tact. maybe it was pulled loose and came unplugged. never heard of leveling kit effect anything like that though. had to have happened during install. did you get bigger tires than you had before along with the leveling kit?

Torqued,

Mine does the same thing - 2006, 1500, 4X4, RCLB, front leveling kit, 33X12.50/18's.

If I just click the switch, it accelerates about 2mph per click, which is normal, however if I hold it to accelerate, like you, it kicks the cruise off. At first I was annoyed, but everything else works fine, so I just let it go, remain aware of it, and continue on.

If you find out this is anything "serious" please post back!

My 08 does the same thing, I need to take it in to get it fixed, it's not normal. I haven't done anything to mine btw.

Default Busted Cruise

Sorry guys/gals, I have been off for the holidays.

Cruise still busted...sort of. Mine does the same thing...incremental is OK, sustained button holding is not.

I will check the sensor. Does anyone know the semi-exact location?

One more question, is there a chiltons or haynes for our 2008 CTD RAMs?

If it isnt the sensor, I will take to stealership and report back either way.

Thanks for the replies. Much appreciated!!

Torqued!!
