HOME DEPOT, i have seen many people do this and top it off with a cone filter element, i got a really good deal off ebay for my k/n cai for my dakota 212.00 shipped. must have fallen off the back of the shipping truck

i want to keep the stock air box and put on something to remove the hat seems like it should be easy to fab one up and will PVC pipe work?

I went with 3in pvc. A 90 degree elbow, a length of pipe and a few couplers should do it.

hey guys you know that plug that has a little resinator on the end of it that conected to the hemi hat what is that and the aftermarket i have doesent have the femal end for that plug . do i need to tap a hole in to the new intake that hooks up to the tb?

i posted this ? in a nother thread aswell just ran across this one

yes...thats the AIT sensor and you need to put it in the tube...like on my 4" pvc tube..

Airaid MIT tube is well-made, and looks a helluva lot better than some homemade pvc...

You need a rubber grommet. I'm not sure where to get one though.

Go to oreillys. They have a kit that has the rubber grommets and a hole saw that will fit on a drill. Its over by their Spectre CAI parts. Thats what I used to tap the holes in my home made CAI.

I used a grommet for a Toyota PVC! It was about the same size inside for the IAT to fit....
