Default Custom rip out and cusom subwoofer box put in question

As we all know they subwoofer enclosers they make for these 60\40 seats they really don't hit their lows I have 2. 12 inch RFG subs in a powerbox encloser main thing is just not gettin enough air. Does anyone know if you can cut out that storage area underneith the 60\40 seats and replace it with a bigger encloser more air to hit plus ports = HARD BASS anyone have a clue?

I don't think you can! Some subs require air and others need to be in a sealed box! So I suggest getting some that don't need air ports. I only have 1 10" dub 3 and it hits pretty dang hard.

The storage area floor is the bottom of the truck. You'll see the ground if you cut that out.

Also, Porting does not equal Hard Bass. It merely draws out the wavelenthg to a higher note and has what is called a punchier bass. Sealed enclosure has the cleanest hardest hitting bass of all the enclosures. My box that I built for my 2-10" Infinity Perfects makes those hit awesome. No problems for me. I doubt you'll have any luck with 12" subs back there. There's just not enough room. Also, porting needs a larger box than sealed so there's another problem.

Get some 10's and go sealed.

spend some money and buy those new low profile subs... ive heard they work great in trucks that dont have much room. I have 2 10" alpines and they hit very hard, and i just have them spliced into the rear speakers

JL audio just came out with low pro 12" subs that utilize a mere .40cu/ft or abouts

Kickers have the solo-baric subs that require a very small space as well.

you should ditch the 12's and get two 10's...i had 2 alpine type r's then replaced them with 2 kicker cvx 10's..put them in the custom made box (ported) made by foxacoustics and they will pound way harder than any wood box you can buy...its the best box for quad cab rams hands down and i would like to see somebody tell me otherwise who has heard it

Thanks for the input.... I already have 2 12" RFG shallow subs. They hit hard as hell but the lows just suck. I come from a comp SUV so im used to the harder bass then most people have in their pick ups. Sealed boxes are more for cars trunks spaces between you and the subs. ported is for trucks SUV's my opinon is that ported gives you a cleaner deeper bass. Id like to rip out my storage area and put in a new floor with a bigger box. wish me luck =)
