Yup. I was told if the fogs did not go off when high beams went on, FAIL. that's why I haven't done it. I'm getting the Hella's for more light.

$100 for the scoop? No way!
I bought the power wire and the scoop for $90 together. I need to reconfigure my filter to be more down in that well for the cooler air. I think it will fit down in there without too much hassle.. That may be my project for tomorrow. I just need to extend the pipe a little. I will post some pics if I do.

I also added the Sylvania Silverstar bulbs to the headlights and the foglights. Definitely a big improvement. The lights had a slight yellowish tint from the factory as compared to the Hellas. Now the head and fog lights have a brighter white color to them. It also lights up the road considerably.

Did you get the Ultras for the fogs? I replaced both of mine too but ultras are not available for 06- up headlights. The regular silverstars are only a little bit better than stock IMO.

Yeah I got the regular Silverstars; 9008ST for the headlights and the 9006ST for the fogs. The Ultras are a little hard to find in the 9008 version, yes for sure. I am impressed with the light from the regular ones though. Keep in mind, when I first got my truck, I only had the regular headlights. I added the Hellas and the OEM fog lights, so anything is an improvement! LOL

Ultras are not available for H13/9008 headlights, but I got my Ultras for 9006 on Amazon.com. Good price and free shipping. They carry a lot of stuff that you wouldn't expect.
