Default biggest possible tire for the v6

what is the biggest possible tire i can get for my v6 without changing the gear ratio cause i heard that i might have to change it cause the v6 cant handle big tires.

so what im asking is would i have to change the gear ratio for tires about 33 inches
thanks

i have 32s on my truck, and i didnt notice any performance loss, but they are not very wide, and are not mts. I wouldnt worry about changing your gears just for 33s, just watch your speed on the highway.

Dont worry about the gears until you have the tires on, then go with the next lower ratio for highway, and two ratios for offroad use mostly

umm...u should be fine with whatever. i got my wheels off of a hemi...and, there wasn't much of a deal. the 456gears sure as hell made it a lot better though.

despite the wheel size you're looking for...re-gear it anyways. you won't regret uit.

they were about 5 inches taller, and about 4 inches wider, and were aggressive mud terrains. That worn out 4 cylinder definetly felt those

the stock 20s come with 33x11.5ish size tires . as long as you have 3.92 or similar gears and dont have the crap 3.55 gears you should be fine. but a gear swap is a great investment and will help get the power to the ground more efficiently. i would say 33s is really the biggest you want to go with your v6 without a gear swap. with a gear swap 35s will probably feel how it does now. you can fit 35x12.5 with a simple leveling spacer(2006+ use spacers all you guys with 02-05s need torsion keys or crank the torsion bars up) and 1/4 wheel spacers.
