Neutral Diff??

I have a 06 RAM 4X4 with the SOTF and was wondering since technically the newer dodges are AWD can you put the front diff in neutral for everyday driving to reduce drag on the motor to improve fuel economy? And if any one know the specifics on the SOTF neutral button pls give me some insight. thanks!
