Just for kicks, pour some ATF or PS fluid and some antifreeze in a container and see if they settle out.

That's interesting. I was looking for a used pickup for the farm and drove a 98 2500. I pulled the PS dipstick and the fluid was that yellowish color. I looked at the salesman and he shook his head like he didn't know. We both commented on not ever seeing PS fluid that color. I was wondering if it was something that a person may have added to "quiet things down" when trading it off??? I've heard of people adding sawdust to components to quiet them down when getting rid of them. (Didn't buy it--got a F**d)
