True about the alarm going off and nobody caring. heck, I jimmied my stratus because I locked my keys in the car and there was a big group of people just staring at me, so I acted all suspicious turning my head and looking around in a scurry...hehehe. When I got into the car, I hunched over and pretended to reach uder the dash for about 20 seconds and then started the car and took off. Nobody cared at all...lmao it was fun!
That's why I have a 2-way paging alarm that has a 900mhz 1mile range remote transmitter. It really works that far!!! Hardley ever will I be further than that away from my truck or car.

 

Of course by the time it paged me, they would have already had both of my guns. It's probably a good thing I didn't know someone was breaking in after I had a few too many... I might have decided to confront them and been shot with my own gun. At least now, they have to REALLY work for it. The funny thing is that 2 days after the 2 guns were stolen, I got one back from the local PD (the cop told me I should've carried in the bar, he said, "better you have it for defense then someone who wants it for offense"). 8 months later the same gun was stolen again and then again retrieved by the ATF. the ATF took a while, but eventually gave it back. I sold that one as soon as it was back in my hands. Now, I just don't keep anything in my truck that I can't put in the safe. I've never left anything in view, and have always only had a stock stereo. It didn't matter, they broke in anyway.
They stole my Diablosport Predator also. It was useless to them as the tune was already in the truck. I was stuck using 93 octane until I sold the truck, which was fine until gas skyrocketed after Hurricane Rita. For awhile I could get gas since everyone was trying to buy the cheaper stuff, but then I had ignition issues when I could only find low and midgrade. So, you may want to rethink keeping the tuner in the truck if you have one in there now.

 

Yeah, I had the tuner in the truck for th first night because I was having issues loading it to the ecu, but I think like a theif constantly so I can beat them to their own punch. I removed it before I went to bed. Helped me get a good nights sleep...hehehe

I gotta tell you. I was around alot of theiving coniiving bastards in my day so I know exactly how they think and act. I don't regret hangin with them not one bit because it has kept me on alert to be prepared for the worst. I'm always thinking, what if, what if, and always going the preventative step.

I'm just sorry you didn't get that safe before it all happened. Relieved you weren't going to except a strike 3 for a fool!...Nice post by the way
