5 Codes at once!
Hey I'm new here and My 05' Ram laramie just tanked on me the other day on the way home from work and luckily there's a dealership on the way home so I parked it there for the weekend. I went back today to find the codes that it was setting off by switching the key on and off 3 times and reading the odometer. The 5 codes were P0171, P0174, P0129, P0420, P2127. I've found out what the codes mean but I'd rather just find the part that's having a problem and fix it myself if possible. I've found what each code means and i'm sure one of them is for my tru dual exhaust not giving enough back pressure. The truck runs awful. I dont mean like bad gas mileage ,I mean sounds like a diesel with a big cam. My exhaust is popping and sounds like I've got open headers. It got the ETC light blinking on the dash but from what i've read that pretty much means the truck is in a sort of "limp mode". I could barely get it over 25 mph. I would greatly appreciate any hints or tips anyone may have to get this thing moving again. I was really concerned with the P2127 code (accelerator pedal sensor no.2 low) I dont know what that is but it dont sound good. I was hoping maybe there was some type of update for the ecu or maybe it was just one part that was pretty much dominoe effecting on my trouble codes. One thing be wrong but is causing the others to malfunction. Please if any one knows something about this feel free to message me. Thanks in advance, jeff

yeh, I've heard that as well. Do you or anybody know if the throttle position sensor would cause my problem. the P2172 code says accelerator pedal position sensor no.2 Low. I would think that it would be the more important code of the 5. I do know at least one or two of the codes are triggered by my dual exhaust. I believe P0129(barometric pressure out of range) and P0420(catalyst system ineffecient) are the 1-2 triggered for that. I also would wonder about the P0171 and P0174 (both are system too lean) it would seem either of the first 3 codes mentioned could very well cause these 2 to alarm also. Any more input would be greatly appreciated. thanks jeff
