lol just kidding ahahahaaa, just wondering how many cats come on the hemi, im thinking in the future of getting a hemi and i want it loud as the one i have now, can you buy highflow cats for the hemis???? and does the mds come on all trucks ??? thanks 3rd gens

 

1) Depends on the year I guess because I have two cats and was proved wrong when I told a buddy with an '06 QCSB 4x2 Hemi that he had two. Crawled under his truck and there was one, right after the "Y".
So I guess to be safe, crawl under & have a look/see.

2) Yes, there are high-flow cats available for the Hemi, but keep in mind, many report CEL issues when they go to them. You may need a "sim" or have to do the "non-fouler trick".

3) MDS is on ALL 1500's with the only exception being the 1500 MegaCab, where, like all 2500 series Hemi's, it's not even available...

 

MDS only came on after a certain year though, correct?

mds is 06+ only on 1500 models

there is 2 cats one after each manifold the thing after the y-pipe is a resonator then a muffler then another resonator

 

why so restricted

 

mainly for mds so you cant hear it go to 4cyl
