Westin Bull Bar
Parents bought me Westin Bull Bars for my 07 4x2 Laramie. Searched lots of posts and couldnt find this answer. Doesnt look like I can mount the bull bars without cutting the chrome lower valance. I see where people have to cut the black chin spoiler, but noone has said anything about the valance. Can you please confirm if I right about this.
Thanks!
Thanks!
What do you mean chrome lower valance? Do you mean the bumper? Because there is no chrome valance that I know of, unless it was aftermarket. Or, maybe the ones on 06+ came with a chrome colored one instead of a black one on bottom. But assuming yours is just the black plastic one colored chrome, I believe that you have to cut into that bottom one to mount it.
the "chrome" valance is really plastic...I guess its the air dam.
I would have cut the lower black part of the air dam and the chrome piece as well.
I read somewhere that westin bull bar (or maybe bull bars in general) did not fit on the "sport" packages. Just not sure if the laramie is the same front end (my son is convinced it is). Anyways right now I am SOL as I am not going to cut the chrome plastic. Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks!

Ok, that's right, the Laramie is that style of front end.
Just check out Westin's site, and look at what they say on it. If it requires drilling, then more than likely you'll have to. I've seen pictures that require cutting the little black piece, and some pics that don't require that, it's just a bolt-on.
