Default Idle issues and rpm troubles

I have 2003 Ram 4.7(stock). Within the past 2-3 week the truck wont idle until fully warmed up and when rev'd up to 4k rpm it chugs and sputters and wont go any higher. Replaced throttle position sensor and cleaned the mass airflow sensor and throttle body under suggestions from local owners still same problem. Will only idle when pedal held.

Have you tried to reset the PCM? Give that a shot. If that doesn't work there could possibly be a bad vacuum hose somewhere.

I had this problem. Had a little water in tank. Water treatment took care of it. No problem since.
