I did use a t-tap it is blue and is for the correct size wire. Also the only splice that was needed was for the reverse wire the remaining functions come from the 4 pin.

So at a minimum even if the splice messed up the wire the remaining functions should work from the 4 pin, Correct? The reverse light in the tail light that I spliced into still works so I do not think that there is a problem with the splice, thanks.

All of the lights work off of power switched relays, so if you cross one wire without knowing it, you will interupt nearly every function.

I'm a little confused why you need to attach the reverse wire from the light bar to the tailights AND plug into the trailer plug as the plug has reverse in it already?
My guess is you have a problem with your trailer plug. I love Dielectric grease for every connection possible. I squirted lotes in my 7-pin and 4-pin harness when the truck was brand new to prevent any contamination of water or moisture. If you have any contaminaton already, it needs to be cleaned prior to putting in some dielectric grease.

The Bar plugs into the 4 pin to get the power, brake, tail, and turn signal lights. Then off the control box that come with the bar has one wire that is meant to be spliced into the reverse lights. To my knowledge and correct me if I am wrong the 4 pin plug does not supply the reverse lights only the 7 pin does.

blue ram you are correct. I noticed the same thing on my light bar. When i first got the light bar i just had it pluged into the 7 round, With it plugged in there it would flash with my head/tail lights when i would lock or unlock the truck. it would also be on when the running lights where on. then i plugged into my 4 pin for permanent install and they just work when the brakes and turn signals are applied. Make sure that you spliced into the white/light green tracer for your backup light too.

the 4 pin provides ground, tail/brake,L turn,R turn. and then the reverse gets spliced as you already did, grab a 4 pin tester ($2.99) then you will know if its the truck or the bar
