Roll Bars
Hey guys!
I'm looking for roll bars and found this site http://www.truckaddons.com/Catalog/s..._roll_bars.asp
Is the behind wheel mounted any better than in front wheel mounted? Or is it just the looks?

I've bought some stuff from them: chrome door handles, some billet stuff. They seem to have good prices. I had sonething I ordered go on back order once (even though the site showed in stock) they emailed me within a couple hours after I placed the order and wanted to know if I wanted the rest of the stuff and the back ordered item later or just to cancel the item or what.
I told them ship what they had and the other when they got it. They did and didn't charge my C.C. for the unshipped item till it shipped. When they did, they didn't charge me shipping either.
So, I'd say customer service is pretty good as well...

Plan on it using up some room in your bed if you regularly get supplies from the hardware store. I cannot remember how much from side to side you'll lose if any?
Also, the single bar is actually stronger than that double bar because of the shape and bends. That's why they have 2 doubles to make up for the "bend of looks". However, the double will protect a side roll as well since it comes out more where as the single will not. That is a very good investment of your an off-roader. Most guys won't spend the money on them.
As far as your question, I'm 97.4% it's for personal preference

Personally I love 'em, but I NEED my toolbox! I'd love to have a bunch of KCs or Hella's on top of a nice roll bar. My only other option is for one of those cheezy light bars you put on the roof - no way!
And BTW - I'm 99.83 percent sure dirydog is a wisea$$!!!

those rollbars are sweet, if i had a "showy" truck i would love to get one of them, i always thought that they give a truck a badass look. but i think dirtydog is right, you would def compromise bedspace with that.
I just purchased the go rhino lightning sport bar. It mounts on your bed rails and stays out of your bed. If you aren't looking for structure and stability purpose, then that is the way to go. Took 10 minutes to assemble and put my lights on top. Will post pics this weekend once I get everything else installed on my truck. It was a good christmas this year.
