This is probably a stupid question but what are all the markings. I bought my truck used and then started finding them in the door hinges and under the hood. I was thinking that my truck had been wrecked and they where marking to make sure everything was lining up. I guess i was wrong.

I know the 07/08 have them to verify that the regular maintenance stuff has been done to keep the lifetime powertrain warranty valid I think.

They are probably quality check marks to show that each part has been checked.
I guess the smiley means all is good and the frown meant the wheels will soon fall off

I was thinking the marking was some kind of Quality Control mechanism.

2500 and 3500 are built just south of the border, in Mexico.
