I think I still have one laying around from my '06 1500. I had to take it off to put the cap on.

soo...is there any chance you have the instructions laying around still? I got a used one and i wanted to read what dodge had to say about installing it. also, don the instructions tell you how to properly modify the tailgate bedliner piece?

I have the instructions laying around for mine somewhere... but all you have to do is line it up where you want it. mark the holes. center punch it, then drill a pilot hole, and then drill the right size hole, I forget what size. then put in those cush sleeves. mine were a PITA, I still have a buggered up one thats stripped. and then take the tape cover off it and stick it to the tail gate and tighten the screws.

my tail gate bedliner stopped at the right spot and I didnt have to mess with mine at all..

heres a pic of mine istalled

well, thats just it...i got it used, so i am gonna get a new strip of tape for it, but my dealer said they dont have a kit for it. i got some part numbers off here for the screws and crush sleeves, but they are $4.50/piece and sold individually. i was going to try to come up with something else on my own from Lowes or something...has anyone been able to purchase a "hardware" kit seperately for it?

I don't see why you couldn't just use some sheet metal screws... they make stainless steel with a black painted head that should work. maybe i'm missing something though...

What do the crush washer things look like?

I've been thinking about getting one of those too, top of my gate is pretty scratched too

too
see, thats what i was sayin. as long as they are stainless and have a good bite in there, it should hold up just fine, i would think. and everyone has problems with the crush washers or whatever they are anyways
