im in dire need of help...any ideas?!?!
i have a problem and im not sure how to fix it...i just recently got an PowerAid Throttle Body spacer for my 02 Dodge Ram 4.7L:
Problem is that ive got the spacer in and im working on putting it back together, the instructions from PowerAid say that you need to remove the front throttle linkage stud, (dipstick retainer stud). I soaked it with PB and still cant get the stud out with a vice grips. Anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it? Any solutions please!
Thanks

I would just take it off. TBSs are just good for paperweights. All they really do is make a cool whistling sound but do nothing for power. Id send it back and use that money to get a power wire from AirRam which is easy to install and actually provides gains. Just my .02
Bummer dude. You bought a useless over marketed item. Don't break your truck to install a useless item.

TBS is "100% JUNK" and "PURE SNAKE OIL" on a MULTI PORT FUEL INJECTED ENGINE.
Since the only thing that will pass through the spacer on your engine is "AIR" The spacer will have NO effect on ANYTHING... it can NOT atomize anything since its only air flowing through it... And the silly littler "FUNNEL" or "TORNADO" effect they are said to create is just not even plausibly possible. The fact is, in order to change the direction of ANYTHING, you need to redirect the energy... So to take the incoming air and force it to SPIN.... you effectively remove forward energy in order to make it change direction. Lets say it does in fact spin the air... once it enters the intake belly it will be torn to shreds by 8 intake runners pulling/pushing air in and out of the runners. There is NO WAY ON EARTH that the large spinning "TORNADO" will enter and brake off into 8 separate tornado and into each intake runner... all the way to the valve... NO WAY... Not going to happen.
I personally had a spacer on my 4.7L several years ago... I did NOT feel a gain until I removed it two weeks later.
Here is a picture of the throttle body spacer held behind the 4.7L 68MM throttle body... Notice how you can see the SMALLER (RED) inner bore of the spacer through the actual throttle body... That means its RESTRICTING AIR FLOW!

REMOVE the spacer and save up for a 70MM throttle body.
