I don't have my owners manual handy, but the 03 shop manual says 75W-140 for the 9 1/4" diff and 75W-90 for the 11 1/2" diff. both synthetic and needing the additive for Trac-Lok.
If you do the differential change yourself, please document the change with photos. It will be helpful to many in the future, (me included). Sure wish I had access to a shop with a lift. That cold cement floor is really tough on us old farts. P.S. Is your current Diff. a limited slip?
By asking this question, you should not even try to attempt to change your carrier yourself. You need special tools to even complete the job and looking at the pic says it all.
It's an open carrier, One wheel peel jobber!

I hope your not implying my diff is and open diff, because it IS an Limited slip. (not a 1 wheel peeler)
