Default AZ 4X4 river/trail run Box Canyon of the Hassayampa

Alot of folks in the Arizona area seem interested in running trails so i figured i would try and put this one together.
The Box Canyon of the Hassayampa is a great run for nearly any 4X4 Ram or Dakota.
It's mostly in the river and there is an easy trail run at the end.
The deepest water i found was a couple spots of 12" or so but most was about 6" or avoidable all together.
I pre-ran it this weekend and it was a great time.
We would start just outside of Wickenburg and get back to pavement near Congress. I ran the whole thing by myself in a morning.
I wouldn't reccomend this for 2WD trucks as there are some spots where the sand will bog you down. There is no tight brush if your worried about paint damage and only small/medium river rocks here and there.

Looking at January 24th. With a meet time of about 9am at the corner of Lake Pleasant road (99th Ave) and Carefree Highway (74) at the Wild Horse Bar parking lot.

Any takers? I plan on posting this run on other boards as well. But i want to limit it to Dodge trucks only.

Sounds like fun.... too bad I don't live in Phoenix anymore! Indiana just doesn't have the same fun factor.

I'm sure I'll feel like Steve Martin in that movie at some point along the way

Actually, a good off road trail would be a great way to finish it off. Our daughter LOVES off roading with her fiance.

Asuming we get enough interest, i want to do this regularly from here on out. Pick a new trail each time, some more difficult than others. Starting with an easy one though.
I run trails with the jeeps and what not now but it seems like alot of guys on the various Dodge boards are wanting to go....we'll see i guess

im not sure if its worth it or not, but I have been thinking of hitting the "christmas tree pass". It looks pretty easy, im not sure how long it is though. I wish I could go, I visit family right up the street from that bar every few months.....
