i got a flowmaster 40 series with my resinators removed. with them on it was way to conservative for my liking. my bro in law has the 50 series with a resonator on and its alright. it has a very low grumble at idle and at wot you know its a aftermarket muffler but doesnt really sound aggressive at all.
the difference is i have a 4.7 and he has a 5.7 with mds. so i geuss im lucky i dont have the dredded mds drone. i would say keep them on for now until you can drop some coin on a programmer. the programmer will be your best mod you do and being able to disable mds is just ONE of the benefits. its great to have.
CAI,EXHAUST and a TUNER really complment each other very well and turn your truck into a different animal.

are really the best programmers ive seen for these trucks but be prepared to drop $300-$500 for a programmer. (YES ITS WORTH IT)
