Default Engine Died

A few days ago I started up my truck, let it idle for a bit since it was probably 20-30 degrees outside. Eventually I get going down the road and come to a red light so I am completely stopped for about 1 second and then my RPM's drop to zero so the engine stops. I turned the key towards me to fully kill the power then I turned it back to start it back up in which it did. The engine wasn't completely warmed up when this happened and this has happened before but it is rare to occur. My question is why does it do this? Is it from the cold temperatures and/or the engine being cold? It didn't do this during the summer time or whenever the temperatures were warmer outside. Has anyone had this happen to them before?

Thanks

Do the Rams have an IAC valve? The 4.7's do. Anyways on my Mustang that thing is known for getting clogged with carbon build-up and not allowing proper idle. If it gets clogged the pin cannot move freely to let enough air through to keep your car idling. It's the bypass for the T/B which allows air through when needed to idle and run properly.
I haven't peeked under the Hemi hat so i don't know.

I know that my '02 would do the same thing no matter warmed up or not. The RPM would just drop and almost kill the truck then it would correct itself and make the truck jump forward. I think that they finally came out with a flash for the problem.

IAC valve usually stalls out when decelerating. aka stopping at a light or stop sign. Check that and clean your TB. Dirty Dog is right I believe.

I'm gonna have to investigate this...I know my TB needs cleaned anyway. I've noticed a few times that the truck almost stalls right after I've started it and am changing gears.
