tell you what, i say someone get a group buy on some retrofits or someone get on the retrofitting headlights. id pay for someone to do it. i cant stand crap like that. on my friends TL forum a guy on there has headlights ready to go and you tell him what you want clear corners, painted inside, etc etc. somethin like that would be sweeeet on this forum since i know the majority of us all want retrofitted projectors

there is a guy on d o d g e t a l k that was doing painting of the headlights for 02-05 and he said sometimes he will do 06-08 but the 06-08 are a pita i geuss. im going to give it a whirl when i have some time in the spring. i know its not going ot be fun at all. when i say the custom retrofitted stock headlights were expensive i mean really expensive. i think he the place i saw them the guy was trying to get $800 for the set with hid kit. i geuss not that bad for what it is but thats alot of dough for lights. i cannot seem to find the site either.

Slapping HID bulbs into reflector housings gives you plenty of vision but blinds oncoming traffic. The only "right" way to do it is with a projector housing. Purists will tell you only an OEM-retrofit is worth having but it all depends on the projector your halogen light started out with. My Subaru looks like it came with HIDs stock.

I do laugh at people who do it for the "upscale" factor when HIDs are old news. They were offered on the 1995 Lincoln Mark VIII; 14 years later they're hardly cutting edge. When I see HIDs on crap cars it's kind of obvious they were added by anyone with $200 in their pocket.
