Default MP3 player input on CD player?

Most of the newer cars/trucks have a place for an IPOD, or any little MP3 player to hook up to. I had a JK, and it was in front of the cd player. Does it have one? Is this one in the back? I have an '08 Ram with the 6 disc in-dash cd player. I need to cd player out anyways. Any trick to getting it out? I haven't really looked yet though.

Is yours the single cd deck? Mines the 6 disc, so mine my be in the back, because of the lack of room, from all the extra buttons...hmmm. Thanks.

One more thing, where does the cord come from? The one that hooks them up? Just the local mp3 store?

crutchfield.com

only way to go. step by step instructions, and 1800 support line that will walk you through installation. theres chords available for almost every car to wire up your ipod to your stock headunit, if you dont have an aux. input (no idea if any rams have one, i know i sure dont)

my alpine has an input that the wire feeds through in the back of it. only problem is the newer ipods wont charge when plugged into the alpine, where as my old one did. so now my ipod doesnt last for crap

I love my I pod, no more cds for me, I have the aux jack on the front of my stock deck, I always thought the stock unit sounded like garbage, with I tunes and the abillity to mix my own music and than use the controls on the factery deck, I will never replace the stock deck..

A wireless Fm adapter is a good way to go vers pulling out the stock deck + you get to have others listen in on your tunes. than are close to your Fm dial

The 6 disc radio does not have an aux input. Your only options are to get the Dodge iPod adapter (expensive), use an FM modulator, or replace the head unit with something else.

I went with a Kenwood headunit to get a aux input way more features than stock unit and way better sound also.
