Question Another Superchips Thread... 4.7 version

so my truck is manual, will the tuner do anything for me?

i also saw the Tirepaq, which is what i need to change my speedometer... bargain at only $200 i guess

if someone has a superchips tuner, is it good for only 1 truck at a time, or can it be used to tune as many trucks as u want? if the latter is true... anyone in North Jersey? i'll giva ya a few bucks!

you can only use it on one truck at a time. you download stock tune to the tuner, which saves it, then program one of the 3 tunes included. when you program with one of the 3 settings it locks the tuner to your truck. once you program it back to stock it unlocks the programmer to use on any other dodge ram.
i believe the flashpaq can be used with a manual tranny. i thought i saw somewhere it said you cannot change wot shifts on a manual but the sc website doesnt say anything like that. maybe contact them.
Yes the tirepaq is what you need to adjust for different tire sizes to calibrate speedo. the flashpaq you can do that too. i would just go to the dealer and have them calibrate speedo instead of spending $200 just to be able to play with tire sizes.

the three tunes are as follows:
87 tune- economy setting used with 87 octane. mild setting
89 towing tune - towing mid performance setting used with 80 octane.
91 tune - performance setting used with 91+ octane.

the programmer basically tunes your truck to run more efficiently on each of the different setting depedning on the gas you would like to use. they firm your shift points, you can set speed and rev limiter to where you want it (maximum of 6300 rpm). you can also change 1-2 and 2-3 WOT shift points. change tire sizes. has a data logging program that you can read any of the sensors in the engine. you can get baselines for 0-60 times,1/8th and 1/4 times too. you can check and clear engine lights. its a great tool.
best part is with the perfomance tune in my truck i get better mpgs than i did without it. even with going to wot often haha. worth the $$$ without a doubt. i felt a big difference with the tuner in the good ole butt dyno. once i do efan, throttle body and headers im going to get a dyno to see where i am at before i start going to the internals. trying to do all the bolts ons first then tackle the tough stuff

.
Correct. Superchips won't change shift points with a manual trans. I tend to change mine with my left foot and my right hand Berry, you should be able to change for different tire sizes with the tuner, no need to buy the tirepaq as well

Yeah no need for both. The flashpaq can do that as well.
