Question New 08' Hemi owner....Questions

Hey all, I have been reading on here for sometime and must say I really like this forum! I just joined tonight.... 2 Weeks ago I bought my 2008 Ram 1500 Sport QC SB Hemi as a new leftover. I must say I love it so far, one thing I have noticed though is the bed seems to sit slightly toward the passenger side looks like the bolts need loosened and the bed slid toward the driver side.... I am debating on taking it down to the dealer for this issue, or just doing it myself. shouldnt take more then 30 min to do so I hate to take it all the way to the dealer just for that. Should I take it to the dealer or do it myself? Other then that I could not be happier.

This friday I will be getting the exhaust put on it (which is a much needed mod IMO). I am going with a Magnaflow Stainless 3" SI/2.5" DO 5x8x18 (after much reading & listening here decided on this one). Anyhow the shop that is doing the piping for me is a good shop and I have had a lot of work done there before. My question is, I can have him do dual out in front of Pass. tire with stainless tips for $180 or I can do 2 straight out the back with dual oval stainless tips for $225 or dual out behind each tire with 3.5" round stainless tips for $215. I like the look of dual out in front of the pass. tire but also like the others....What do you guys think?

Thanks,
Ian

congrats on the new truck! im sure you will love it for years to come. being so new though, i would definitely take it to the dealer to get problems like that resolved. as for the exhaust, if you HAVE to go duals (i just like a single 3" better myself) i like behind each rear wheel exits the best. i dont think strait out the back looks nice unless you have a bumper cutout for each tip. and to me, exit in front of rear wheel just seems too close to the cab, and would leave lots of black carbon all over that wheel.

The box isnt off, the cab is. Its a semi common problem. As for exhaust, its really a personal choice thing. I have mine coming out the back with 4X18 stainless tips.
Congrats on the new truck, You couldnt have picked a better color and welcome to the forum!

Well, I guess I will head down to the dealer when I get off work in the morning to have them take a look at the misaligned body....That sucks ***.....Oh well that is what that warranty is for LOL.....

I really love the look of the Exhaust out in front of the pass tire....Just worried about causing more drone..... Of course I pretty much like all the exhaust options I stated otherwise I wouldnt be considering them.... I was really impressed with the prices he quoted though they were with the muffler and pipe work and tips out the door.....

Formally I was always a fan of Black trucks (and I still am), however, when I saw the white with the sport package I gotta say I loved it, actually chose it over a black big horn....I have owned a few dodges over the years (all diesels) 2 were black, 1 was silver.....White did not cross my mind till I saw the one I bought...... Glad I got it though, it is so much easier to keep clean!!!

Yup...I had to have mine adjusted and they moved the cab.

As for the exhaust, you might want to leave the resonator on until you can disable MDS...otherwise you might not like the sound when in 4 cylinder mode. Also remember you'll be able to feel the MDS engage and disengage a lot more with exhaust. I'm not sure why but mine just wasn't smooth anymore and had a bump to it.

I thought about that, however, I don't know that MDS will be kicking in much on me. I drive 95% city I do not know that MDS would have the oppurtunity to kick in would it? I have yet to notice it kick in currently.... On the cab misalignment, that is kind of depressing to know they don't even notice sh*T like that on final inspection.
