There was a storm in upstate NY 2 weeks ago that was unreal. You couldn't go anywhere without roads that were shut down because of broken tree tops. I had to break out the chain saw because the trees in my backyard dropped some huge branches. I had a total of 4 trailer loads full using a 6x10ft landscape trailer. Actually those trees in the backround of my pic. They run abotu 120ft tall each. They are much larger than the photo leads. Ice accumulation was upwards around 1.25". It was raining out at 18degrees, so when it hit the ground, it was freezing instantly into pure ice. There were 219,000 without power just here in NY and I think another 240,000 in Mass.

I should've taken some last year of my old truck. I didn't drive it all weekend, and we had quite a bit of rain, then instantly froze. The ice worked into my door and everywhere, so it took a little over an hour to get my truck open. That's quite a bit for where I live, maybe not to most of you.

that's insane, I remember last year we had a pretty good storm over here where I had a hard time opening the door to the truck and there were like 6"+ icicles hanging off the front and sides, some almost touching the ground
