The 20's have a 33" tire and are a semi low pro considering.
Going to a 17" with a small tire would look absolutely stupid. It won't fill the wheel well out and will look like a mexican mobile.

I got the truck from my dad and he had just put those tires on there. He wanted some to fill up the wheel wells so thats why he got em. I want to lower it, but still be able to daily drive it, so bags are out of the question for me. I also am going to be installing the kit myself, so I dont want to do a c-notch. I guess the 2-4 kit is the only option for me. I just needed to hear it from somebody else. Cash is too tight right now to spend more money on a kit, and even more on new tires (and poss. rims). I like the tire/rim combo I got now. I get good dry traction, and even wet (for me atleast, but thats because on my last truck i had had mud terrains)

i have the same size tires and if i lowered my truck anymore the tires wouldnt even fit inside the wheel well. and why is it that i put a 2 inch drop on my truck and the back is still about 3 inches higher than the front. i would have to get a flip kit in order to level it out. does anyone know how to tell if theirs been a change in the front suspension?

what do you by a change? like if theres ever been a lift or a lowering kit on it before? you have torsion bar ifs in the front end so im not sure what would change there. andthe back is pretty straight forward and simple design you should be able to tell just by looking at it.

Default Ground Force kit

I lowered my 08 Ram 2.5 front and 4.5 rear. Kit was an ease to install and did it all in the driveway-6 hrs complete. Only problem is rear of truck is 1 inch lower that front now so I will airbag the rear and will help when pulling the boat. I have 275-60R20 tires.
