It is a gas engine.

Does anyone on here pull a load >5000lbs with a mega cab 1500 HEMI with 3.73 rear end?

If its gas AND its been sitting for 2 years then 35k is criminal. everyone's right, i think around 20k would be more realistic.

I have an 08 mega cab with the 3.73 and pull a travel trailer loaded to about 6000 lbs and no issues at all. (dry weight is 4900) Sure I would prefer a bigger truck but the 1500 mega sxt 4x4 does a great job. And no I do not worry about gas mileage towing. I am camping and trying to reduce stress. It the cost of doing business. I watch the tank and fill up when I need too. Drive the '07, test it out and if you feel good about it, go for it. The back seat for the kids is amazing ! By the way, I paid $28,000 Canadian for mine but the liner, bug deflector and soft cover were extra.

Well the dealer called me with his best price on this 07 MegaCab ..

MSRP 35390-3341 (discount) -8000 (rebate) - 1035 (who knows)

Price of truck: $23,014

It was 3-5K more than I wanted to pay. I would think I could get the same deal on an 08 - who knows an '09 (doubt it on an '09). I guess this is why the vehicle is just sitting.

Also, keep in mind, brand new or not, it is still a 2 year old truck as far as resell goes. When you drive off the lot, you have a two year old used vehicle. Figure in some depreciation there. When I bought my '08, it was literally 50% off sticker. They are still doing that on the '08 models at a lot of dealers around my area (Houston). You might want to check that out as well. Just a thought........
