Magnaflow Exhaust Installation Video
Hey guys, I did a simple video of my exhaust installation. I am the worst mechanic ever! This video will show that, I'm sure. Even with my primitive ways under the hood... I managed to install this exhaust system.
My sons helped me out with the installation and the video. Video is about 6 mins long.

After a short drive I was happier with the sound. At first I was a bit disappointed that it wasn't more rumbly. That's ok, I really wanted performance gain and hopefully mpg gains. The sound was going to be icing on the cake.
Next I will attempt to do something with the intake to free that up a bit. I'm looking at all of your homemade CAIs to see what I want to do.

hmmmm... there must have been some problem. I'll have to check my original video because it did have the "sound" at the end.
and to answer your question here... at first I was not impressed with the sound (but that's not the main reason I bought it). It's not as rumbly as I thought it might be.
After driving a few miles in it, I do like it. It is better than stock, but I would have to agree with the many online who have said "don't buy a magnaflow for the sound". I'm hoping the performance and mpg gains are noticable. If not, they LOOK way better than stock LOL.

yeah magnaflow is more of a conservative performance muffler. the smaller the cansister the louder it will be. how long is the one you got? i believe they come in 14,18 and 22 inches long. 18 and 22 are pretty quiet but still grumble a little louder than stock. another reason it probably doesnt grumble more is becvause the stock rear resonator is probably still in place which basically muffles sound too. rip that sucker out and youll probably like it more.
