Default Road Noise

When I am driving, I am getting a noise from my passenger side door that sounds like the window is down, even though it is not. I have checked the door seal and it seems to be in good condition. Is there a way to control how tight the door closes? Has anyone had an issue like thiss before?

yep, same here...it appears there are two causes of it.

1) check the seal towards the front of the a-pillar, where the door hinges. there could be a tear there, or the foam blocking in the fender may be missing

2) some of the doors appear to have either warped, or the seals are just getting compressed, and the inside seal does not hit up against the top of the door tightly, which allows for a whoosing air sound, as if the window is cracked.

As reported by other members on here, the only solution for #2 is the "bend" the top of the door in....roll down your window first, plant your foot against the middle of the door just above the arm rest, and pull the top of the frame in. i have yet to do it on mine, cause i think i'm going to wait until its warmer so its not so stressful on the paint and metal.

For issue #1, you can see the dealer for replacement seals.

I believe I read there was one, but they will only fix if you are under warranty.

While I'm sure it was done in humor, thanks for the absolutely worthless contribution to this discussion.

That being said, if you would have followed that comment with say, some sort of content that would have further contributed to the issue he was asking about, then it would've been somewhat acceptable.

Sorry, had to rant. That just grated on my nerves for some reason.

Ha, i thought that was funny. But seriously get yourself a "monkey", by monkey I mean like the guy sidecar racing that's climbing all over the place, have him track down and isolate where the noise is coming from so you'll atleast have a place to start.

mine does it too. very annoying at time. somestimes if the window is up so high and theres alot of pressure on it, it makes rattling, windy noise. sometimes i just have the push the window down buttom real quick, just to get a little pressure off the window and the noises will deaden a bit. i have no idea how else to explain what i just said and i confused by self typing it haha. the door seals in these dodges do suck pretty bad though.
if your anything like me you hate to hear any noise inside your truck other than maybe the exhaust and engine running. any rattle will drive me absolutely crazy.

My window will rattle if it is only down a little bit, say 1/2 to 1 inch. I think it is the window glass rattling back and forth, but if the window is down further- no noises.
