Anybody know if you can run a Sport Bumper on an SLT. Obviously its the same platform but specifically I want to know if the bumper reinforcement bar might be different. I love the truck....but the chrome has got to go. I saw a OE Take Off Sport Bumper on Bumpers.com for $289.00 plus $55.00 shipping. Any better prices you've all heard ? I would just have to guess and say there are no differences. other than the cosmetic one, that would prevent you from doing the swap. Good Luck.

 

the metal part needs to be changed its the part that the sport bumper cover sits on, u do know the sprt bumper cover is a thin peice of urathane, the bumper brakets that hold the slt bumper will work but the thick bar assembly that holds the sprt needs to be changed, its like 350 for the cover and the metal asssembly is like 160 to 170 for the same price u can move up to the srt assembly , which i did, i planned on the sprt packg but opted for the srt since more bang 4 the buck

 

i had my local body shop replace my bent to hell bumper with a street scene bumper. looks sort of like the sport grills , but not all the way. ive had numerous compliments on the grill. i was even able to use my lower billett grill piece and fog lamps.

got from a guy at hensonmotors off of ebay, taxas raped me here in texas but yalls can get it for 585 with if ur going from a unsport package, and 385 for the cover and needed parts if u have the sport bumper, reason being for the bumpers its a direct hook up if u have the sport pkg, and have to buy more peices if u have the chrome bumpers, like i did,
