Question Humming Sound at 40-45mph

07 5.7L AUTO QC 20K

I am getting a humming sound at 40-45mph. The noise can only be heard when I am on the gas or have the cruise set. If im rolling at those speeds I dont hear it. Is this normal like it was always there cause its a very faint noise buts there all the time at those speeds.

Could be the tires making noise. You sure it isn't the MDS kicked in?

The MDS will make a noise? How do I tell if the MDS is even on?

If it does it when you're on the gas, it isn't the MDS. Tire noise maybe or some sort of resonance.

I get a noise from the AWD transfer case, sorta sounds like a train horn if you ask my 4 yr old...

But seriously, it only does it when I'm cruising at the same speed you're talking about...right at or under 50mph, and usually is worse when I'm lightly on the throttle, but will fade away when I let off.

If you have AWD that may be your noise source.

I have the 4wd. I really dont think it could be tire noise since its quiet when im not on the gas, i'm taking it to the dealer cause I want them look at the seatbelts too since they are not locking when I brake hard.
