Default running my 05 ram hemi with open headers?

So my cats are falling apart from the inside an my driver side pipe barely flows air.
So what I was wantin to do is cut the exaust at the headers an let it be til I get to go to the exaust shop next thursday.
Would it be ok to commute bout 5 miles a day with it jus open header?
Any info will help thanks.

like your going to cut the cats off and leave it open from there? i wouldnt reccomend doing that. youll most likely have a few cels due to not having 02 sensors anymore and youll loose alot of power. i really wouldnt drive it around with just a open exhaust manifold. you should just take this oppurtunity to do headers and full exhaust.

i think hes just asking if he can do it for a couple of days until he can get it to an exhaust shop to get it all done,..if so i would second the headers and get 3" exhaust all the way back, single exit or 2" duals...and it should be ok for a few days but i wouldent go much longer than that..crappy mileage n such...also if ur getting rid of the cats search threw the DIY forum for tricking your o2 sensors so you dont have a CEL all the time....good luck and post some pics when done

oh well thats good then. are the long tube??? you shoul dbe fine but i still wouldnt reccomend it. i would grab some m,agnaflow stainless cats or if you dont live in a crazy inspection state get rid of them all together seeing how you have the 02 simulator mod done already,

Do not get caught without cats. Some areas will impound your truck if you have no cats.

We have no emissions inspections here. An yea its very loud but it sounds good. No back fire or anything.
It stutters tho when accelerating to speed until I hit the gas harder.
I have long tube headers, an the cats were the magnaflow stainless but now I know the truck won't sound like **** wit the cats cut imma cut them an run 2.5" tru duals an get some cutouts.
Truck sounds really good, but like a race truck now.
Lol seems like throttle response got better lol.
