Default TSB Question

Ok we all know about the shaking problem with 06+ Rams. Mine did not have this problem until recently and I am well over the 36000 mile warranty. This TSB 02-001-07 REV. A is what I believe I need to have done. How much will I end up having to pay for this? Or, since there is a TSB is it something they have to fix? I have never had to take my truck into the dealer and this is my 3rd Ram! (1990,2001,2006).

I have read a lot of the postings on this already and it sounds like I'm in for a hell of a headache. The truck is going in to have the tires balanced to make sure thats not the problem, and I just did a brake job so I know its not the rotors.

Just look and see if there is play in the rod ends or the wheel bearings

Comes out of your pocket since you're out of warranty. If it was a recall then it would be on Dodge

Yep, it is just a recommended fix. You will have to pay with no warranty.

Well lets hope when I get the tires balanced tomorrow it takes care of most of it...
I didn't see anything thats looks loose with the rod and bearings seem fine.

i have a shaking prob on my 04 Ram 2500 4x4 from 70-80 , and its the front drive shaft..its unbalanced, took it out for a road trip and it took care of it,

Many 5 star dealers have the authority to cover it under warranty if your just out of the warranty. I'd get the tires balanced first. They are gonna want to do a front end alignment too. Then they will start with everything that they might have to pay for. But only the 5 star dealers can absorb out of warrant costs for customers. Especially if you are a loyal customer or a return customer.
