HP increase estimates.
I just need an estimate of how much HP I can add...
1.) JBA shorty headers
2.) Borla exhuast single pipe.
3.) Superchips tuner
4.) H/O camshafts
5.) Aftermarket intake
Im just looking for rough estimates, from everyones knowledge with the almighty 4.7L Engine lol.

If you can swing long tubes in your state i'd go that route. I don't know the cam specs on the H/O cams but usually anything labeled "H/O" aren't too aggressive
...i'd get some custom ground cams that suits your needs.

The H/O cams are a tq based cam. You grind it down to create more HP when you move into the 206, 212, ect. They are a good mod because tq is what we really need to get our trucks moving. The H/O cam will add 20rwhp, SC 3815 programmer will add 21hp + 19tq, CAI+headers+free flowing exhaust will probably net you around 20 as well. K&N Fipk claims to give us a 8.63 hp boost, headers show about 12, and a magnaflow muffler can add 8-10 versus the stock. Not sure about the borla though. However that combo will get you close to stock "hemi territory", but you will gain alot more throttle response and probably see a 1-2MPG gain. I like the choice of the H/O cams for tq, but I would recommend Gibson headers. just my .02 though. Most all of the specs I provided are from Airram. Nick (airram) has a fairly modded 4.7. I would check out his website as well. airram.com
i found this pretty kick *** program from comp cams, lets you put in different aspects like cam, headers, intake, exhaust, superchargers ect.. and it predicts HP and TQ outputs and gives you a few choices in the best cam for the engine and set up... very nice
so where is this program draco???
i would reccomend jba headers and do not cheap out get ceramic coated. ive read quite a few posts baout gibsons leaking often (even from airram who switched to jba)also like weightlifter said the h/o cam is tq based but is great with these engines. we need all the tq we can get in these truck sot get them up and moving faster.
if your doing intake, headers and full exhaust also look into getting a new 68.5+ throttle body to help the flow even more. also look into an efan setup and gears too.
with:
headers and full exhaust
full intake
thottle body
superchips 3815
H/O cam
4.56 gears
your looking at a very very nice increase in tq and some good hp gains too. of course this isnt going to be cheap. probably around $2000-$3000 ( if not more especially if you do not do your own header/cam install)

I was thinking if I spent 1500-1800 on parts etc, I could move from 235hp to about 300 hp.
This is in the upper end, and wouldnt include labor but I think 65hp for all the mods is an estimate; I would also get rid of the restrictive y piping people talk about and maybe a new TB but I think 300hp is possible, any ideas or comments?

Well this is just my opinion....if your really after high hp then buy the Hemi, if you don't care about hp, then buy whichever motor you want....but its gonna be hard to make a 4.7 perform like the 5.7.
If you cant buy a new truck and want the HP.....I would look into an engine swap....and if you cant do that...just look at the stuff you can buy off www.airram.com and go to town.....
but with the things you listed...you could possibly add 60 to 80 HP
1.) JBA shorty headers - 10 to 20 HP - haven't seen dyno's for this
2.) Borla exhuast single pipe. - 10 HP - any free flowing exhaust should do this
3.) Superchips tuner - 15 to 20 HP - depends on tuner/model/fuel setting
4.) H/O camshafts - 20 HP - i've heard that mopar's H/O cams will do this for the pre 08 models
5.) Aftermarket intake - 5 to 10 HP - most dyno's i've seen really add about 6-8 HP
