Exclamation 4.7L ==> Headers or Program?

I'm trying to decide which I want to do next. I have the money for headers or Superchips. Which one will be the best performance upgrade? I'm thinking headers first. Is JBA any better than Gibson? Thanks!

Im getting JBA, I heard people have a worse time with gibson because they have leaks with them etc. I have read that headers alone wont give you what you want as far as performance and you will need a new exhuast, CAI and remove the restrictive "Y" piping w/ headers to get that added HP you crave. With all that done you should see 25hp gain easy if done properly Im guessing. You could also look into a ASP underpulley, its like 285 but adds 7-10 HP. Also, you have to think of installations costs if your not doing it yourself. At this moment, I would personally go with the superchips now and remember if you have to take your truck in for service to remove the program...

superchips will give you a better gain in seat of the pants right away. but with a full free flowing intake/exhaust system it compliments the sc very well. i would go the sc route first then do headers and i would go with ceramic in either brands although i have heard gibsons do leak (do not know thw full truth to this but i have read it in many posts and have heard airram make the same claims) if your doing headers get rid of the stock y while your at it.

Order of mods should be cat-back, CAI, Tuner then headers, chopps...
