Default Is this a good price? 07 Dodge

I ve found an 07 Dodge regular cab, 1500, 4x4 SLT. It has the 5.7 hemi, 3.92 gear, towing package, pretty much loaded out (no leather) The truck is brand new. It was one they couldnt sell and has a sticker of $35k. They have $22,995 on the windshield. I called yesterday and the salesman said they would take $19,700 for it. I know if this was new, it would be a great deal but being a 3 yr old truck, as soon as I buy it the value drops quite a bit acccording to KBB. Would you buy this truck? What would you offer?

How does the lifetime warranty work on the powertrain? Do you have to let the dealership do all the service? Can I have them do parts of it and do other parts myself and the warranty stay intact on those parts they do? For example, can I let them do the tranny, rearend and I do oil changes? I hope so, I like to do my own maintenance.

Not just no, but HELL NO!! It is not a good deal!
Local dealers here (and many other places I'm finding out through forums) have been offering left over '08s for HALF OFF sticker price for some time now. A neighbor here picked up a 2WD fairly loaded QC 4.7 for half off the sticker way back on 4th of July weekend and my cousin in upstate N.Y. bought a new '08 ThunderRoad QC Hemi 4x4 with a sticker of $41,600 for just over $20k plus tax, tag & title at the end of November.
That dealer can do A LOT BETTER on a leftover 2 year old '07, no question, especially a RC, they are not in high demand, by any means. Probably why it hasn't been sold...

Seeing as they're giving away other trucks half off MSRP...you should be able to steal that truck. I wouldn't pay more then 16.5 out the door.

EDIT: errrrr...yea what the other guys said. I type too slow

I found a 2wd 08 for half off but it had the 4.7 ?? and a 3.23 gear ??, which is too low bc I tow 2 atvs and a 12' trailer.

So, `16k out the door would be a good deal?

Nick it is brand new, not sure of miles but not over 100 I dont think.

yeah, you want the 3.92s for sure, anything less makes for a sucky tow vehicle, hell even they ain't enough if you ever opt for bigger meats...
$16.5-17k TOPPS! You are in the drivers seat on this deal, the dealer would about be willing to just keep his losses down to a minimum to unload an '07 RC, that's eating his floor plan...

19K is a little high. Just depends how bad you want a new truck. Fact is if you want a new 09, trimmed the same you are going to give about 30K (5-6K off sticker). Granted, the new truck is better, but can your pocket book take the extra 10-15K for a new truck and is it worth 10-15K to get the newer technology?

I would at least tell them 19K out the door at most. 19K is retail on it, even with it being new and it is HARD to get retail on a truck or car for the matter today.

Is it a sport? Color?

Its the SLT, it has 20" wheels, Flame red with grey at the bottom. I dont know if its the sport or not. I m a chevy man. So I dont know much about Dodges. My dad has a 01 dodge.

I d like the 09 but I m trying to keep my payments down. I m not in a hurry to buy, I m just looking for a deal. I like the Dodge powertrain warranty. So, I m leaning more towards dodge.

They have 5 08s left, I havent priced them. They are stickered between $36k-$40k. Anyone know bout how much dealers are knocking off those?

People keep saying this is a buyers market but dang the dealers are being tough here. Like i said I want a deal, if I cant get one, they can let em sit on the lots.

around my area all 08s are 50% off sticker so i would push them to do that
