Best CAI for the 5.7L is the Ramhammer, period. After finding out about i wouldn't invest money in any other intake.

i thought ramhammer was going through some problems. ive seen soo many peopel on other forums ordering it and not getting anything not even a response. some were having their money sent back to them. it is a nice product though. i got my volant for $220ish right after xmas around this time last year. the place only had one left and gave me a great deal ( i believe they are $300+ usually)

personally I wouldnt get anything with metal tubing gets way to hot in the summer.... hence I went with the 57 series intake.... best one ive found even better then the ram hammer i think plus it replaces ur resonator... but the kit i think is around 500 so prolly out of ur price range comes with a pyrimid style k&n which is the biggest filter ive found.... plus its really easy to convert it to a forced ram air as long as you dont like ur driving lights lol i never had any

Truly, the most restrictive part is the Hemi hat that attaches to the throttle body. If you can get rid of that, a la the Air Raid setup, it will help. I was the one who re-did mine using the PVC pipe:

From what i understand, people were ordering them faster than they could be produced. This led to back ups which pissed a lot of people off. I talked to Scott from Hammer utomotive and they are not taking orders untill all previous orders are filled. There is supposed to be a GENII RAMHAMMER made out of carbon fiber coming out.

The lenth of the intake tube has as much to do with "seat of the pants" performance as the diameter of the tube.

I have that same exact intake on my ram, came with it when i bought it. In my opinion its an ebay p.o.s. Likes to whistle a lot, and the chrome is all pitted. Spend some extra money and get somthing nice. You'll get what you pay for. I'm saving up to get the K&N kit for my truck..
