Well for a little bit at least I was pulling out of the liquor store backed up went down to d let off it rolled back a bit slammed into gear then felt like it was in second drove like that for probably a 1/2 mile got to the light put the truck in park off then back on back in D and its fine. Put the petal to the floor and the tires smoked so I know its back into first. Any thoughts?

 

huh thats weird, how many miles? might want to check your tranny fluid maybe? or even get it changed and if you do it yourself check to see if theres any bits and peices of metal...

 

23722 or some thing like that.

 

wow, def not dirty fluid or something of the sort, ide take it back to the dealer if the warrante is still in effect...but still check to see if the fluid level is correct

yeah def sounds odd to say the least...but i just had a thought maybe you had it imbetween D and 2nd?? and it took it a second and slammed it into 2nd then when you got to the light went to park and back to D you were actually in D...had this happen in my gf's blazer it said it was in D but it was in 3rd...
