Default really need help

im sorry this isnt about a truck but i realy need an answer as soon as popular and the caliber forum isnt as busy as this one i also posted in the caliber area as well though but anyways my problem is my mom went out today and her car wouldnt start and there is no power at all nothing working the only thing on is this one little red light in the middle of the dash its the security alarm light i guess so does this mean someone tried breaking in and maybe the car killed all the power any opinions would be greatly appreciated

Being a caliber it should be pretty new, is it still under warranty? It definitely sounds a the security starter kill issue...try the spare key to eliminate the key as a possibility.

Yup, I agree. I think it's the security system. May have to be reset by the dealership. But it's out of my league. Tomorrow's Monday and they are open. Unless someone with some insight (Parts/Service maybe) can chime in, it'd be time to call the dealer first thing in the morning...

yeah its still under warrenty and yup tried the second key nothing we're thinkin it might be the recent ex boyfriend lol do you know if you can try boosting the caliber or is it a bad idea cus of the electronics ? cus who knows it might be as simple as a very dead battery seems unliky to me though

i dunno if it will work but.....try reseting the PCM by unplugging the battery for about 20 min and plugging it back in....try it,if it works yay, if not...ya gotta call the stealership
