Wheel adapters?
Well, I think I may go with wheel adapters so I can fit 35's (315's) on my 04 Ram with a leveling kit and stock 17x8's. Where is the best place to get them with the best price?
your talking about spacers right?, i found them on ebay for about 130 for 2 if i remember correctly and ur only gonna need the front 2 to keep from rubbing unless you want all the wheels to stick out a little bit...
no, spacers are just metal pieces that go between your wheel and hub. adapters bolt to the lugs and the wheels bolt to the adapters....making it a little stronger then just spacers. what size spacers are you runnin?
im running adapters (hub centric) have had no problems at all and im running 2 inch and i go off-road . if you get a good set and tourge them proper they will not give any probblems...heck i even have them on my 660 grizz
Actually, open spacers are stronger than adapters primarily because the wheel is bolted directly to the hub. Adapters need to be bolted twice.
Thin spacers that allow the factory lugs to be retained with the lug nuts are the best thing to do. When you get too wide for that,(generally anything wider than 1/4") then "adapters" are needed. Now adapters are not really the tech savvy term because adapters are technically used for running lets say a Chevy lug pattern on a Dodge.(adapts the chevy size to the needed Dodge size). Spacers are actually the proper term regardless if they have open holes or new set of lug nuts mounted to them!
