i know it has been asked a million and two times but i just want to know more about my V6 performance and what it is capable of. Is it me or does my fuel economy drop as time goes on? Will performance do the same thing? Also can you guys tell me of what you have beat on the road. please give what mods you have and what the other guy was driving and what he appeared to have

A good next step would be to gear up to the 4.56's, e-fan, headers, and maybe underdrive pulley. Gearing up gives you quicker acceleration, but less actual horsepower from what I have heard. Derrick is geared up so ask him how big of a difference it makes.

i have always wondered about those 4.56 gears. Im pretty sure they will make a big difference with initial acceleration but what about those freeway speeds and fuel economy. Ive been trying to get decent gas mileage while still boosting performance

I think derrick posted his mileage was around 17 mpg, but don't hold me to it. Also from what he said they are sluggish at highway speed in our v6's. All of the other mods should help performance and may help gas mileage too.

Be careful on highway. I don't know if its just my 70k 03 ram. But if you are going uphill on the highway, do not go full throttle for too long. I had the cruise control on and it was revving the entire time. I was such an idiot. Blew the radiator hose. It might just be the hose but just keep that in mind.

17 MPG?! Highway right? The most on city i've gotten was 14.

as for gears, here's a vid of my truck at the track and another on the highway. dont use it to compare the times you'd get because i have a lot more done...but look at the rpms at certain speeds.

mileage went up in city, down on highway, so it's all about the same if you're pretty much a daily city/highway driver.
