i did buy it used with 13000 miles on it. the dealer sold it to me with the 7/70 powertrain warranty. now i get off the phone with the dealer and he has no clue of this fee to transfer it. i have to go there on wed to get this fixed. bottom line, they sold me a truck with the warranty, and they didn't transfer it. i asked before i even signed papers if it had the 7/70 powertrain.
There is a $150 transfer fee for the 7/70 drivetrain warranty. If you can find documentation where the dealer says it was part of the purchase - you can probably get them to pay it. Even if you can't find documentation, ask anyway. They may eat the cost as a customer service.

A little off topic but does anyone know if Dodge will offer the extended warranty right before your current warranty expires? I know Ford did when I bought my Mustang, and it was almost half the price of when I bought the car. I believe the only difference is that if you purchase it after you buy the car/truck, you have to pay cash as opposed to tacking it on your car payment.
I'm not sure how it works with manufacturer's warranties, but for a cheaper price you can usually get an extended warranty from another company. With my last truck, I refused to buy the extended warranty through the dealership, and bought one online from warrantydirect.com. They had more coverage options, with the top-of-the-line being better than an extended warranty from the manufacturer. They also let you do a payment plan. Now I can't vouch for how well it worked, because I never needed to get any repairs on my Ranger. Of course, the finance people at the dealerships will swear against these aftermarket warranties, because then they don't get their commission. That warrantydirect.com was recommended by carbuyingtips.com.

I brought my Ram used about 4 months ago. If I want to transfer the 7/70 warrenty, do I have to find the dealer that the original owner brought it from or can any Dodge dealer do the transfer? Is the $150 that everyone is talking about the fee for the transfer of warrenty?

If you don't like to work on your truck/vehicle the extended warranty is a nice thing. Personally, I like to play the odds on something like this. I've always had good luck with Mopars. If something does break, I've been fortunate enough that it was something I could fix.

When are you getting your R' bee?
