Torsion Bars
you only need the tool for removing and replacing them if you are just going to crank on them you dont need it, I would have a good breaker bar or an air inpact gun becasue they will be hard to turn. and probally spray them real good with wd-40 would help also.
It would be called a socket set... with all the weight off the front end, they'll go pretty easy once you break 'em... You need to not cheat on this, measure both sides from tire top to wheel well (on level ground), lift the truck and turn each side a couple cranks, then drop the truck, measure and raise it and adjust. You may need to raise & lower it a couple times and don't assume that the same number of cranks gives the same results on each side - don't know why, but it's like that and why you have to measure...

also don't know if this is allways true but we ran mine up about an inch over level becasue was told after driving around it will settle down a little mine came down about 3/4 of an inch over the next month. Now she looks real good.
all 3rd gen 4x2s have coils and 06+ 4x4's. The "free" lift option is only available to '02='05 1500 4x4 owners...
