Default installing OEM step bars

I am getting original dodge step sides for my 06 1500. I know a guy that has the same year truck that had them factory. He took them off. I am getting the bars and brackets. What type of bolts do I need to get? Are these bolts I can find at a store or do I need to go to the dealership for them? Will they sell me just the bolts?

I have some Westins and they attach to factory body bolts on the bottom of the truck. You can probably get install instructions on line somewhere.

Hopefully you got them cheap. Factory one's rust. They just have a nice shiny chrome coating or black paint just temporarily. They aren't stainless. My father had the dealership install factory bard on his ford. He got Westins instead and they were rotted off in 3yrs time.

You should be able to get the bolts from a hardware store.
