The fuel filter is part of the fuel pump inside the gas tank. It was more of a joke than a legitamate response.

Maybe you have water building up in your lines or your cylinders? How does the oil itself look? Any coolant loss?

just throwing out a theory here but will the computer allow spark to be generated if it detects no oil pressure or a fault with the sending unit. You know sorta like an engine protection device. If this is the case have the sending unit/sensor looked at.

step 1: SEAFOAM
if it's gunk build up, it'll get it. if its dirty injectors, it'll get it. if it's water in the line, it'll get it. go buy yourself 2 or 3 cans. it won't cost you more than $20.

no, a single bad wire/plug will not keep this motor from turning on.

the engine normally won't have oil pressure when it turns on anyway. it builds it once the motor is running.

but that's why you should check your oil, hope you don't have a sludge issue. not common on Hemis, but possible on any engine.

Only a little, skinny kid with obvious homosexual desires would interpret that statement in such a way...

thank you all for your generous help. i will get some of this "seafoam" and see if that does the trick, do i just dump it in the tank? i do change my oil religiously every 3k miles with castrol synthetic blend,no smell of gas in the oil.. the coolant and oil levels have not changed through all this. battery has never been dead since buying this truck new or gave me any problems. i will take hammerZ71's advice and clean the throttle body since ive never done it. any way of telling if the tb sensor is bad?

Matt,

A couple of other things in addition to what the guys above have said. First a question, Do you use Gas dehydrator at all. Its possible that you've passed water from the tank into the fuel rails, and its freezing there. These engines do NOT have fuel return lines to the tank, the regulator is located on the fuel pump at the tank.
Ah, but you did say you're getting fuel (black sooted plugs)

Something else, you may want to look at. The connections to the PCM located on the fire wall, passenger side. If there is any moisture there, you may also be dealing with some corrosion on the connections (guages going dead, then coming back to life for an unknown reason.
If you do decide to pull the connection harness to the PCM, disconnect the battery and turn on the headlights (after the battery is disconnected) to ensure all electrical energy has been discharged. Clean all the connections the best you can, look for any possible broken connectors, pack silicone grease into the connection blocks and re-install on the PCM. Just another possibility. I have seen this problem here before.
